The events listed on this page are relevant to individuals who have a personal or professional interest in eating disorders, body image, self-esteem, and related subjects. As we are a Canadian organization, most of these events are in Canada. 

If you are hosting an event, such as an education session, workshop, or conference, we invite you to let us know about it. We are happy to promote the following on this page: 

  • events for which there is no fee to attend, or the fee is nominal (this will be assessed on a case-by-case basis)
  • fundraisers in support of non-profit eating disorder organizations
  • eating disorder-specific trainings hosted by non-profit organizations (regardless of fee) 
  • eating disorder conferences (regardless of fee)

  • FEDUP Collective

    ONLINE PEER SUPPORT

    Fighting Eating Disorders in Underrepresented Populations (FEDUP) is collective of Trans+, Gender Diverse, and/or Intersex (TGDI) people who believe eating disorders in marginalized communities are social justice issues.

    FEDUP runs the following peer support groups on Zoom:

    • BIPOC Group: 6-7 p.m. EST on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month
    • General Group: 12-1 p.m. EST on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month

    These support groups are free of charge and open to TGDI individuals ages 18 and older, living in any geographic location.

    Navigating Summer Stressors

    DATES:  Wednesdays starting May 21 to June 25, 2025

    TIME:  12:00 - 1:00 p.m. PT

    This is a free, virtual educational series open to anyone aged 19+ who is experiencing, or has experienced, an eating disorder or disordered eating — regardless of where they are in their recovery journey. Each session will be led by Margaret Noel, RCC, with one session facilitated by special guest speaker Ally Choo, RD.

    • May 21 – Rejecting the Idea of a Summer Body, Finding Middle Ground, and Defining Your Support Network 

    • May 28 – Building Self-Care Routines that Work for You through Summer Disruption
    • June 4 – Making Recovery-Based Decisions in Familial Environments & Continuing to Nourish Yourself During Warmer Weather
    • June 11 – Navigating Food-Centric Gatherings & Using Summer as an Opportunity for Growth in Your Recovery!
    • June 18 – Fuelling Your Body & Building the Summer You Want Outside of Compulsive Movement
    • June 25 – Recovery in the Face of Economic Uncertainty & Managing Emotions in the Time of Ozempic

  • BridgePoint Center for Eating Disorder Recovery

    SUPPORTING YOUR LOVED ONE WITH EATING DISORDER RECOVERY

    Free (for Saskatchewan residents) full-day online workshop 

    Facilitated by Lauralyn Blackburn, MSW, RSW, CEDS-S 

    This online workshop is designed to equip carers with practical skills derived from Emotion-Focused Family Therapy that will help them strengthen their relationships, with their loved one and respond effectively to strong emotional reactions.
